As we approach the end of life, opportunities for emotional and spiritual healing as well as quality of life are intensified.  Western culture's resistance to the dying process, as an essential part of the life cycle, has created a void for dying people, their caregivers and healthcare professionals.

Faced with the immediacy of their mortality, people moving into the dying process have a greater tendency to see clearly what holds the most value and meaning in their lives.  After listening to many hospice patients speak about what they hold as precious and what they regret, or need to heal, Camille began to see their wisdom as a missing voice in modern western culture and healthcare.  Ultimately the goal of the SOLACE project is to provide perspectives and education through the stories of dying people, their caregivers and experts to support and inspire others in living fully and dying consciously.
